She said, "He has about 20 acres."
He said, "No, I don't mean that. Does he have a grudge?"
She said, "No, I think it's a carport."
The lawyer wrinkled his brow just a little bit and said, "No, no, no, no. Does he beat you up?"
She said, "No, I get up before him every morning.
He said, "LADY, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?"
She said, "He says we can't communicate."

God, my shepherd! I don't need a
thing. You have bedded me down
in lush meadows, you find me quiet
pools to drink from. True to your
word, you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.
Even when the way goes through
Death Valley, I'm not afraid when
you walk at my side. Your trusty
shepherd's crook makes me feel
secure. You serve me a six-course
dinner right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head; my
cup brims with blessing. Your
beauty and love chase after me
every day of my life. I'm back
home in the house of God
for the rest of my life.
Psalm 23
The Message

Strength for the Day
- God hath not promised skies always blue,
- Flower-strewn pathways, all our lives through;
- God hath not promised sun without rain,
- Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
- But God hath promised strength for the day,
- Rest for the labor, light for the way,
- Grace for the trials, help from above,
- Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
