At the Cross-roads
(Jeremiah 6:16)

Elizabeth & John Tolson

Here I stand upon the threshold
of a new adventure in my life:
I am like a travell'r seeking
signposts which will point the way.
Standing at a cross-roads in my life,
searching for my Lord's Good Way,
asking that the ancient paths
I'll clearly see throughout this day.

Asking for the ancient pathways:
others will have pass'd this way before.
If I ask them, they will show me
signposts which will point the way.
Asking for direction in my life;
seeking for my Lord's Good Way;
I must learn to ask for signs to
clearly show throughout this day.

Here I stand and I am certain
Jesus waits to answer if I ask.
He is always there to show me
signposts which will point the way.
Jesus will direct me in my life
if I look for His Good Way.
I will ask to follow Jesus;
He will keep me safe to day.

When I stand upon the threshold
of a new adventure in my life;
Jesus knows that I am seeking
signposts which will point the way.
Standing at a cross-roads in my life
Jesus shows me His Good Way.
I will walk the ancient pathways
from the Cross - roads ev'ry day.

This is what the Lord says:
"Stand at the cross-roads and look:
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16
